The Athletes’ Village for the 26th Summer Universiade, Shenzhen (hereinafter referred to as “Shenzhen Universiade Village”) is conveniently located in the southwest part of central Longgang District, Shenzhen, east of Longxiang Avenue and south of Longxing Road, and in the new campus of Shenzhen Institute of Information and Technology, with the main venue for the Universiade in the north. The village, built on a 492,000sqm plot, has a floor space of about 478,000 sqm and extends 1,171 meters from east to west and 768 meters north-south. During the Games Period, it is expected to receive about 12,000 ~ 13,000 athletes and team officials and provide them with catering, accommodation, recreational, transportation and other services. After Universiade 2011, all the Games-time facilities in the village will be transferred for the use by Shenzhen Institute of Information and Technology.
