The preparations of the Shenzhen Universiade have come to the boil of “the last sprint”.

On March 9, the Universiade Executive Office held a meeting on the venue team establishment and operation works. Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen Zhang Wen and Deputy Director of the Executive Committee, Director of the Executive Office Liang Daoxing attended the meeting.

The meeting was held primarily to make better preparations of venues and promote the establishment and operation of the venue teams.

The division leaders in charging of venue operation, chief of the General Department, director of the Coordination Office of each division committee, each division's director and vice director as well as each venue’ Operation Secretary-General also attended the meeting.

Also a 700-person list of the Universiade operation team was officially announced, indicating that the Universiade has entered into the venue trail operation stage after 4 years’ preparation.

Zhang Wen pointed out that venue operating efficiency and managing quality are the basic guarantees to hold the Universiade, all venue works should be done professionally and meticulously. It also requires to integrate professional advantages of the Executive Office staff with resource advantages of the local government and venue owners, concentrating on venue management, to achieve the goal of “uniform standard, professional team and efficient operation”.
