January 21, the Executive Office Logistics Department held a 2010 annual summing – up meeting & 2011 work implementation meeting. The Deputy Director of the Executive Office Ke Gangming attended the conference, which was presided by Deputy Chief of the Logistics Department Zhang Zhanbo. Chief of the Department Zhu Tao made comprehensive work summary of 2010 and work deploy of 2011.
In the past year 2010, sticking to the principle of “hosting a new Universiade to showcase a brand – new Shenzhen”, under the leadership of the Executive Office, the Logistics Department fulfilled their obligations by building a safe, scientific and considerable logistics service system and satisfying the working requirement of “five excellences”. In addition, they did their Universiade preparations with flying colors in the fields of traffic, medical security, accommodation, meals, electricity support and inspection and Quarantine.
Ke Gangming pointed out the Universiade Year is also a crucial time for the logistics preparation, since it will leave the first sight of the Games to all guests coming to Shenzhen. In this respect, the logistics preparation is closely related to people’s impression on the city, and thus it shoulders significant responsibility.
Ke required staff in all fields of the Department should forge ahead and make persistent efforts and improvement in the last 200 days before the Games opening. Every unit is asked to perfect their working plans and try to perform them as scheduled. With all the attention and pressure on the logistics work, the staff is still expected to achieve the set goals through thick and thin.
