4. Overall description:
The Gymnasium of Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology covers an area of 11,586㎡ and has three floors in total. The entrances for athletes, officials, working staff, VIP, media, and audiences are arranged at different positions of the first floor, with very clear flow lines. There are well-equipped lounges, reception rooms, and lots of office rooms on the first floor and there are many seats and toilets for audience on the second and third floors. There is a 64㎡ VIP lounge on the first floor and a 61㎡ VIP lounge on the second floor.
The badminton competition of the Universiade is arranged at the Gymnasium of Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology. Built according to the international standards and specifications, the Stadium has one competition venue and one warm-up venue, which completely satisfies the requirements of the Universiade. The athletes have independent entrance and four lounge rooms, and there are also two lounges for judges and referees. All these rooms are all provided with well-equipped locker rooms, shower rooms and toilets. The press center covers an area of 100㎡, the media working area is 193㎡, and the media rest and reception area is 70㎡.
5. Press Area & Mixed Zone: The Press Area in located in the west and north of the first floor, with the media working place in the west, and the media rest and reception areas and the press center in the north. The Mixed Zone is between the athletes’ entrance/exist flow lines.
6. Medical emergency: The first floor is provided with the medical area including one doctors’ room, one waiting room, and one urine test room.
7. Information desk: It is located at the athletes’ entrance on the first floor.

(2) Badminton Court of Longgang Sports Complex

The Velodrome of Longgang Stadium covers an area of 7915.6㎡ and has one floor only. There are entrances respectively for athletes, officials, other personnel and audience, with clear flow lines. There are two well-equipped locker rooms and many offices inside.
It is 2km away from the Universiade Center Town.
