A competitor in the Game 

On 23rd and 24th May, 2011, the 2011 Guangdong Youth Weightlifting Invitational Tournament is held in the Complex Training Hall of Shenzhen Sport School, running as the first test event for the 2011 Universiade. It is reported that nearly 70 athletes from 6 cities of Guangdong province (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan and Zhongshan) participate in the game. The competitors of the 56kg (Men) compete in 23rd May, while the 69kg (Men) and 77kg (Men) on 24th May. The 48kg and 58kg for women athletes are respectively held on 23rd and 24th May.

The test event is aimed to examine the preparatory work for the Universiade, including the security management, venues operation and back-up service, to ensure the success of the Universiade.
