THE international students who are in Shenzhen for a one-week cultural exchange program hoped to stay longer in Shenzhen.

“I think this travel is really a good idea, a fantastic trip for me. I like everything here,” Sara Ann, 16, from the United States, told the Shenzhen Daily yesterday at a painting activity with more than 100 Shenzhen students at Shenzhen Children’s Palace in Futian District.

“I really like Shenzhen. It is different from my country and I really want to stay here much longer. I think I will work harder and get a chance to study in Shenzhen in the future,” American Charles Davis, 17, said.

A total of 28 students from Houston in the United States, Lome in Togo and Kwangyang in South Korea arrived in Shenzhen on Thursday on a one-week cultural exchange program. They will leave Friday after participating in a series of activities, visiting scenic and cultural spots and watching the one-year countdown for the Universiade.
