The athletes village for the 26th Summer Universiade（“Universiade Village” below）is conveniently located in Longgang district of Shenzhen, within the new school zone of the Shenzhen Polytechnic, and is easily accessible from other parts of the city. It is adjacent to the Universiade Center in the north, bounded by Jihe and Shuiguan expressways in the southwest and stretching in the northeast and southeast to two main roads, Longxing and Hongmian.

The village is built on a 492,000sqm plot and has a floor space of about 478,000sqm. It extends 1,171 meters from east to west and 768 meters north-south.

The Universiade Village is divided into operational zone, international zone, residential zone and logistics zone based on their functions and security levels. During the Universiade Shenzhen 2011, it will be the home for about 13,000 athletes and team officials from more than 180 countries and regions, providing catering, accommodation, recreational, transport and other services. After the Universiade, all the Games-time facilities within the village will be transferred for the use by Shenzhen Polytechnic.
