Volunteers uproot introduced mikania micrantha on Wutong Mountain on Sunday. More than 200 volunteers joined the activity aimed at freeing the “Lung of Shenzhen” of garbage and mikania micrantha, a perennial climbing vine known for its vigorous and rampant growth. A native of Central and South America, the vine retards or kills other plants by cutting out the light and smothering them. Huang Minggang
