The supervision of foods has been improved, and the safety of principal foods concerning people’s lives has been ensured No major food poisoning cases occurred throughout the year. In 2007, the city government will invest 160 million yuan to ensure food safety. The investment will mainly go to the upgrading of food safety monitoring devices and the construction of production bases of live pigs and vegetables.
