On the morning of January 9, 2010, child reporters of English from Shenzhen Daily “Best wishes to the Universiade in New Year” one - hundred – meter roll name - signing ceremony was jointly held by the Executive Office and Shenzhen Daily English, Shenzhen Citizen Center, where over five hundred child reporters of English from more than fifty schools in Shenzhen were gathering. Leaders of the Executive Office, Shenzhen Journalism Group, Shenzhen Daily English, Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Education, Education Bureau of all the districts and Shenzhen Foreign Language School attended the name - signing ceremony.

This activity is a vivid demonstration to show Shenzhen children’s caring, support and participation about the Universiade in front of the world. Lovely kids blessed the Unviersiade in kid hosts’ way, in hope that more children will take active part in the Unviersiade promotions. On the one - hundred – meter roll, they wrote blessings for the Unviersiasde, and afterwards, the roll with names will be presented by the Executive Office to FISU for preservation.

On the occasion, child reporters sang in chorus the Universiade theme song “Start Here”, the Universiade excellent songs “Bloom of Youth”, and “Love is the Answer”.
