SHENZHEN (China): Malaysia can learn from Shenzhen and its free trade zones, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar.

”(Futian Free Trade Zone director Xiao Yuan Sheng is)nice and helpful in showing us what they have done,” he said.

The MP for Kota Tinggi told Xiao about Malaysia’s plan to establish the Iskandar Development Zone and other similar zones in the country.

”Two things we can learn from Shenzhen - their planning and incentives,” he said.

Syed Hamid who is leading a delegation to China was given a briefing at the Futian Free Trade Zone by Xiao before calling on the Shenzhen deputy mayor Lu Ruifeng.
