Pieter TILSTRA (NED)

Born on January 30th, 1937 in Holwerd, the Netherlands; married with three children. Graduated in physical education. FISU Assessor since 1991. Active in football and field hockey.

President the Netherlands' organisation Top Sport. His country's World University Championship Delegation Head for the last twelve years. Sports director at the university of Groningen. Member of the NSSS (The Netherlands University Sports Federation) since 1995. Decorated by Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands for his commitment to university sports.

Best sports memory: being delegation head at the 1979 Mexico City Universiade, and completing a 200 km ice skating race in Friesland(Elfstedentocht).
