In the second half of this year, Shenzhen is going to optimize the current 150 routes and as well have another 28 bus routes to ensure the 100% coverage of public transportation in the urban district and 75% outside the special economic zone. Referring to the comprehensive transportation improvement in some city areas, by promptly formulate and implement transportation proposal, Shenzhen is determined to tackle citizens’ trouble in getting destination by public transport means in certain areas especially in rush hours. In addition, Shenzhen will guarantee smooth public transportation by building new metro lines and adjusting bus routes.

Within this year, Shenzhen is going to brew the demonstration plots in order to make new energy more widespread in public transport means and taxis. Specifically, 300 hybrid buses, 300 liquefied natural gas (LNG) buses and 30 BYD dual- mode electromotive taxis will be firstly put into use.
