AN express bus line from Guangming New Zone to Shenzhen’s CBD began running Friday.

Running from Futian Bus Station to Gongming Bus Station, the 10 shuttle buses on the 46.2-kilometer route pass through some of the city’s major roads including Binhe Thoroughfare, Xinzhou Road, North Ring Road, Fulong Road and Longda Expressway with stops at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, Citizens’ Center, Lotus Hill Park and Beijing University Shenzhen Hospital.

An official with Western Bus Co., the operator of the service, said it took about 30 minutes to travel from the Citizens’ Center in Futian District to the Guangming New Zone Committee of Management building as the buses make fewer stops along the way.

The cost of the entire journey will be 10 yuan (US$1.46).
