4. Overall description
With a floor area of 4,960m2 and a building area of 11,176m2, the Complex Gymnasium of Shenzhen Polytechnic is comprised of four floors. Its entrances and exits are on different floors. On the first floor are the entrances and exits for athletes, competition officials, the audience and working staff as well as wheelchair-accessible entrances and exits. There are four well-equipped athletes’ lounges and a lot of offices in the competition hall. The VIP room, the media reception room and volunteers’ rest area, etc. are on the other floors.
With a building area of 3,264m2, the auxiliary warm-up hall is a single-storey building. In addition to the competition area, there is the locker room, athletes’ lounge and clinic, with a passage to the Complex Gymnasium.
5. Press Zone
The press zone is located by the spectator stand.
6. Medical Service
The gymnasium is equipped with an athletes’ clinic, an audience clinic and a doping control area. A clinic is also set up in the auxiliary warm-up hall.
