4. Overall description
Gymnasium of Pingshan Sports Complex is principally a single-storey building,having a total building area of 15000m2and side multi-storey space.It can accommodate 4,500 spectators.Its basic facilities such as the functional rooms and the technical control system meet the FIBA requirements. The main hall has the competition court,the warm-up area and some auxiliary rooms as well as the entrances for athletes, technical officials,VIPs and media workers.A large number of functional rooms are in the side multi-storey space.
5. Press & Mixed Zones
The press zone is on the stand by the FOP area. The mixed zone is around the gates for athletes.
6. Medical Service
A clinic and a doping control area are set up beside the athletes’ entrance on the first floor of the gymnasium. An audience clinic is in the audience area on the second floor.
