Inspection and Quarantine
2011.04.26

1.Persons Who Are Not Allowed to Enter China

Foreigners with psychosis, infectious tuberculosis and other infectious disease that might jeopardize
public health are not allowed to enter China.

2.Vaccinations

Persons arriving from areas affected by yellow fever must submit a valid yellow fever vaccination
certificate to the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine officials upon arrival.

3.Health Declaration

Universiade participants will not need to complete an Entry-Exist Health Declaration Form if no major
epidemics are occurring within or outside China when they arrive. Nevertheless, passengers are
required to report to quarantine officials upon arrival. They might be subject to a health check or
quarantine inspections if they have a fever, coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, skin eruptions, respiratory
difficulties, or subcutaneous hemorrhage without a definite cause, or if they have been diagnosed with
a contagious disease, or bring microbes, human tissue, biological products, blood or products of such.

If a major epidemic has broken out either within or outside China, the General Administration of Quality
Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China will announce mandatory
inspection and quarantine requirements for entries into and exits from China. These requirements
could include the Health Declaration Form, examinations (medical inspection and sanitary inspection),
isolation, detention and on-site clinical checks (or medical treatment in local hospitals or designated
places). All entry passengers must accurately fill in the Entry-Exit Health Declaration Form, go through
the Inspection and Quarantine channels, undergo the required inspection and quarantine procedures.

The "Letter of Guarantee for Self-Use Materials" from the Executive Office of the Organizing Committee will be helpful if delegations bring the following items into China: batteries, used mechanical and electrical products for self-use, self-use materials subject to mandatory accreditation, self-use biological products and blood products in a reasonable quantity, self-use foodstuff, animals and plants and their the products. Please see Notice on Inspection and Quarantine of Entry/exit Persons and Cargos of the 26 Summer Universiade, Shenzhen.

7.Pets

Each person is allowed to bring one pet dog or cat into China by presenting a valid animal quarantine
certificate and a rabies immunization certificate issued by the official animal and plant quarantine
authorities of the exporting country/region. The animal must go through quarantine procedures.

8.Material Declaration and Cancellation after Verification

Here is some additional information about the procedures for materials (1) that will be used during the Universiade; and (2) that have been exempted from inspection or have gone through the
inspection/quarantine filing/approval procedures during their entry into China. When the delegations go through exit procedures, they should submit exit documents (including the Declaration of Outbound Cargo) about such materials to the agency designated by the Executive Office or its authorized institutions for inspection and quarantine cancellation.

If the materials will be sold or used in China after the Games, participants or organizations should
repeat entry inspection procedures according to relevant regulations. Before the materials can be sold or used in China, the materials must be examined to determine whether they are suitable.

9.Health Care for International Travel

The Universiade Village has a Service Desk providing Health Care for International Travels.
