Participants in the 2011 tai chi ball competition for elderly people at the opening ceremony in Futian District, Shenzhen Sunday, Oct 16. The four-day competition has attracted 735 competitors from throughout the country. The tai chi ball was initiated in the 1990s in China. It is a combination of tai chi, badminton and tennis.
