SHENZHEN, 22 Aug. - Comments from Yuichi MARUYAMA (JPN) and team leader Yuji NAKANO (JPN) after Japan beat Britain 2-0 in the gold medal match of the men's football at Shenzhen Stadium on Monday.
Yuichi MARUYAMA (JPN) - gold
On winning the gold medal:
"Our goal was to be world number one and we won the gold, so right now I have relaxed a lot and feel no more pressure."
"I think this win proves that university students are capable of playing the J-League."
On the Britain team:
"Britain is a good team but our attacking got stronger and stronger in this match."

On winning the gold medal:
"It means we reached our target in this tournament."
On the tournament:
"It was a fantastic Universiade competition. We scored 18 goals and only let in six in the whole tournament. It was an overwhelming victory."
On the Great Britain team:
"They only gave up two goals in the previous five matches so their defence was really strong but are attacking is strong too."
On Kazuya YAMAMURA (JPN):
"He has been our captain at the Guangzhou Asian Games, Beijing Olympics and during this Universiade. He is a top player in Japan."
On future plans:
"Most of our players with play in the coming university football league starting this month. Most of the senior students will play in the professional league in six more months."
