Well-known Serbian fashion designer Dragana Ognjenovic will present her new collection on the Kalemegdan Grand Steps on July 7th.

The fashion show was inspired by the atmosphere of Kalemegdan, Kalemegdan stairs and the Universiade – said Ms Ognjenovic at the Universiade press conference, adding that Kalemegdan was the part of Belgrade where one could still feel “the spirit of the city that is now completely forgotten.”

I love the fortress steps and I am fascinated by the atmosphere there, that combination of the city and the park is unique.

The fashion show is one of the many cultural events organized during the Univeriade. Belgrade Summer Festival (BELEF) is responsible for the organization. Its director, Milena Stojicevic, says that theater plays, musical shows, and other programs will be organized for Universiade guests with the aim of connecting Universiade participants with their hosts.

Our objective is to focus on the uniqueness of Serbian culture and to try to connect all the different cultures that metare present in Serbia at this sports event – explained Milena Stojicevic, adding that Friendship Festival starts today in Ada Ciganlija as part of the program called “Ada is the World”.
